MIC Electronics Secures ₹1.53 Crore Orders for Electronic Location Units from Multiple Indian Railways Zones

MIC Electronics Limited has secured multiple orders from various zones and production units of Indian Railways for the supply of Electronic Location Units, with a combined order value of approximately ₹1.53 crore.

The development marks a significant milestone for the company as it expands its presence in the railway sector’s digital infrastructure ecosystem.

Over the past one to two months, the company has received contracts for the supply of Electronic Location Units, further reinforcing its role as a technology partner supporting the modernisation of railway electronic infrastructure across India.

The contracts have been awarded by several railway zones and establishments including Southern Railway (Golden Rock), Central Railway (Matunga), Western Railway, North Western Railway, Northern Railway, South Central Railway, South Eastern Railway, North Eastern Railway, North Central Railway, East Coast Railway, Eastern Railway (Liluah), and the Integral Coach Factory.

Electronic Location Units: Essential Components within Railway Communication and PIS

These orders for Electronic Location Units highlight MIC Electronics’ growing footprint across multiple railway zones and production facilities.

The development further strengthens the company’s long-standing association with Indian Railways as a provider of railway electronic systems and digital communication infrastructure.

The contracts involve the supply of Electronic Location Units Type-I and Type-II, which are essential components within railway communication and passenger information systems.

These precision-engineered electronic assemblies support seamless coordination and real-time information flow across stations, coaches, and operational control systems throughout the railway network.

The combined order includes approximately 5,400 Electronic Location Units, with deliveries scheduled between March 2026 and April 2027 based on the requirements of the respective railway divisions.

According to the company, the orders for Electronic Location Units were secured through competitive tendering processes conducted across multiple railway zones and manufacturing units.

The selection underscores MIC Electronics’ technical expertise, product reliability, and its ability to meet the stringent technical specifications and delivery requirements of Indian Railways.
